Note to self

It is important to understand
that even when you have an electrical warmer on the water hose-
and the sun has come up-
and you are nice and toasty-
unless the temps are going to rise above freezing
SOON
NEVER, Never, never turn the water off.
It does strange things when temps never get out of the teens.
Talk about problems with hard water!

Note to self......
thank God for a hubby who knows how to deal with such difficulties
so that I can get a shower before our date. \o/

I know I haven't been here much.....but I have gotten a lot done.
I got my paper work handed in for court.....although after wards I found out we will have a delay.
I got to meet my GAL boy and Monday I will make a trip to the other side of Charlotte to see my girl. Three hours there.......20 minute visit.....three hours home.
Fun, fun!
But it has to be done....and God gave me a day to do it so I am going for it.
I'll get to make this trip twice a month.
Anybody live in the Stalling, N.C area?

I managed to work out with my new buddy 4 times this week!
Wahoo! It was very nice......the work out and time spent with a new friend.
Hmmm, maybe that is why I have not had too much to say here.
Her poor ears. :)
But it has been so good for my soul.

That is about it.....I promise next week to be here more often.
Thanks for being so patient.
I'll check in with you all soon~

Sharon,

I'm so sorry your pipes froze. That is difficult to deal with. I've done it many times with Dad and Grandpa but wouldn't want to do it in the minus 22 temps of the last few days. I have when I was younger and it definitely is NOT a fun time. ;-)

I'm glad that you are visiting your kids and having fun working out with your new friend. Take time to relax.

Come over when you have time and scroll down to see pictures of our deep freeze.

Love you Sis,
Blessings,
Mary

OOh goodness. I can remember those hard water days when we lived in SC. We would have to wrap the pipes out by the well when the temperatures dropped.

I am so tickled to hear about your working out so much!! YOU GO!! You are an inspiration to us, Ms. Ma'am.

Brrr! Keith is such a great guy. He always takes good care of you all!

What you are doing with GAL is wonderful. I pray (and know) that God will bless you as you travel, grant you traveling mercies, and cause your vehicle to be strong and sturdy and get good mileage for the trips. Here is the scripture that gives me courage in times like this, (bc 6 hours of travel is huge), 2 Corinthians 9, I have made a prayer and a declaration out of these verses...

"6[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [[a]that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. 7Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He [b]takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, "prompt to do it") giver [whose heart is in his giving]. 8And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [c]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need [d]be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. 9As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! 10And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. 11Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God."

Verse 8 is really the punchline, but, it's ALL good!

I have been weak on my working out lately, but, you and Leslie are inspiring me! Back to my little routine! :)

xoxo,
Maria

Thinking of you as you go! Also, keep up the workouts. I'm trying to "up" my mileage and incorporate some much needed weight-training. Time for a push toward the better.

Wow! 4 times this week! You go girl! I always tell myself exercise is good for the soul, but you take it to a whole new level! lol
You know these 3 hours driving to meet your girl, you'll be filled with excitement and the 3 hours back, you're mind'll probably be racing with what you said wrong and what you'll do right next time! lol
So, I'm sure the drive won't seem bad at all. Or just throw in your favorite cassette and sing your heart out to the Lord for 3 hours! He'll LOVE it!
