Dear Jesus thank you for taste buds!

Tonight I was blessed to be able to enjoy some good food and spend a little time with two of my girls. I am blessed in that God has given me more than my share of women who know me and yet--love me.
My heart is full of love for both these girls and there is one more that I so wish had been there. She knows who she is and she knows she will always be one of my girls in the Maw Maw club.
Tonight we enjoyed some sweet company and I cooked up a little of God's creation. It was divine if I must say so myself. It was not hard. So if you can follow a recipe and want something that makes your taste buds think they have died and gone to heaven---the recipe is below.
Don't forget the bread---you'll need it to sop up all the sauce.

BARBECUED SHRIMP LONGMAN
Prep Time: 30 Minutes
Yields: 6 Servings

Comment:
This recipe comes from Ruth Levy Longman, a schoolteacher from Franklin, La., who loved to eat at Pascal’s Manale. Many years ago, she created this dish based on the restaurant’s famous dish.
Ingredients:
4 dozen (21–25 count) shrimp, head-on
½ pound butter
¼ cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
Louisiana hot sauce to taste
1 tsp paprika
2 tsps salt
cracked black pepper to taste
¼ cup chopped parsley
Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place shrimp in a large baking pan with a 1-inch lip. In a 15-inch cast iron skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once olive oil is hot, blend in garlic, Worcestershire, hot sauce, paprika, salt and pepper. Sauté 1–2 minutes. Sprinkle in parsley and sauté 1 additional minute. Pour garlic sauce over shrimp and bake 10–12 minutes, turning shrimp occasionally. Pour shrimp and sauce into a large ceramic serving bowl, and serve warm with French bread.

How beautiful that you were able to spend some times with women close to your heart, Sharon :) It is always fun to have some girl-talk.
The recipe sounds yummy - my kind of dish :) Thank you for sharing it.

Be blessed today and always.

What a wonderful time! We are boiling some shrimp tonight, but I know they will not compare to your recipie. I'm going to try to talk someone into changing plans and BBQ them. When do you get to see Holly? gtg

Hi there. It sounded like a great night! To ans your qus - no news of Dad yet, I thought I'd wait and ring after Wed when he has the big heart tests, so that I know more. As for me I am a real introvert, who loves nothing more than being alone - I find my life of raising two extroverted children aged 6 and 4 and relishing the close relationship I have with my hubby (he is my best friend - awesome, awesome man!), working part time and keeping home, fill my days and nights and I am content (often tired). I catch up with Mums, some christian, some not in general, but
no close gal pals with whom I could bare my soul here...but that's OK with me. :-)

Me again to continue - oh yes I've had to stand alone at times, and again that is OK. I'm pretty private so it works for me. I'm not sure how other women perceive me, ha ha, I'm always rather shocked when folk say they like me 'cos I think I'm such an ordinary person, but usually something zany happens to me and those around me when out and about (not intended, I just seem to have a bit of a magnet for madness!). big hugs xxxx

I was just thinking of you, and your comment came in...will be praying for you regarding the situation you mentioned. God's glory and grace to rise above it all and the works of the enemy diverted completely! I've just had a glorious couple of hours at the beach (yes I know it's winter), with the children, oh I needed the air, the sea breeze. The sun was out after days of rain and it was glorious. We even had ice creams after 'pretending' it was summer (well they had the ice creams!).
