Oh how sweet it is to wake to a new day in His presence. The sun is coming up and my man is getting ready for work. All is well in my little camper here in the south.
I want to concentrate on the nearness of my Lord. Have you ever noticed that when you allow yourself to be caught up in conversation about His goodness how His sweet presence seems to fill the room? How when you are loving on Him, He comes to love on you.
How can we even start to be discontent with life when we are waking and walking with Him? How we miss the sweet amazing grace He wants to share with us when we rush out in to the every dayness of life and not even stop to acknowledge Him. How that must hurt His heart.
Let's focus on Him today. At each moment lets seek to follow Him. When we loose site of His presence, lets stop and turn and find out where we left Him standing by the wayside. I want to walk with Him daily in what He wants me to do. I don't want to look at another's life and become distracted from my own. Let me do each day what is appointed for me to do. The agenda He wants me to keep. The goodness He has planned for me to accomplish. Today I want to be the one He planned for me to be. Only then will I reach the end of the day and know that my life glorified Him.

Today it is enough to accomplish what He has set aside for today's agenda. Are you working to meet His agenda or someones else's?The God who determined the measurements of the foundations of the earth sets limitations to the scope of our work. It is always tempting to measure ourselves by one another, but this easily leads to boasting or despair. It is our business to find the sphere of service allotted to us, and do all that He has appointed us to do within that sphere, not "commending ourselves."
Paul said, "We will keep to the limits God has apportioned us" (2 Cor 10:13 RSV). Jesus did that--willing to become a helpless, newborn baby, to be a growing child, an adolescent, a man, each stage bounded by its peculiar strictures, yet each offering adequate scope in which to glorify his Father.
Lord, glorify yourself through me and in the place You've set me. Let me not covet another's place or work or glory.
It is enough to meet His requirements alone.
Let God master our activities--not man.

Hi Sharon, oh man, here you are with your own troubles and you're asking for prayer for your friend! What a woman you are! ((( hugs ))) You're up early too -- I like that! I can usually read a new post when I come here. tee hee (Are you in Eastern Time too?) Praying about your well troubles -- here I was fretting over $1,200 for a TREE vs. $5,000. Around here we always say 'it's only money' but $90,000???? EEK! We'd have a nice well and be living in a tent. Praying. D

Usually i am up by 5:30 fixing oatmeal for my man. His mom started fixing oatmeal for him when he was a boy and he could still eat it every morning.I usually fix him breakfast and then post a little something. Probably should start my time with God first--but sometimes i wake with something on my mind.

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog, we will so miss Chris' family. Yes, that is us. Chris' Dad took the picture and waited a whole minute before taking it. We were holding in the wind, so to speak, and our faces were saying, "Come on, take the picture!" Hee hee! Love them dearly, though.

It is true that if we start looking at other people's lives we can get discontent. I am glad that He walks with me, no matter where I am roaming here on earth.

Father in Heaven, You know all about Lauree. You know her going in and her going out. Nothing about her life escapes Your notice. We lift her up to You today for deliverance, for protection, and for provision. Be all she needs today and every day. Set her family free from the addictions that the enemy puts out there to destroy them. Provide strength for the battle...just as You did for Moses, when his arms were weary and the battle was hot...You sent two to hold him up. Send two and more than two to hold Lauree up. Protect the innocent ones. Bless them, Father, in ways that make their eyes shine and their lips praise Your name. Be glorified in all of this.
