Listen

It has been awhile since I have come here to.....just talk. So this morning I thought I would change that. :) Here is a little peek into my life the last two days.
Last night while at church one of the women in our group was just bubbling about what God had done in the past week. She had actually shared some things in Bible study Sunday night..but since I was not there because of a visit from a migraine....I missed it.
Last Wednesday night during our time of prayer she had asked that we pray for one of her cousins who has been lost to serious drug addiction for over 20 years. Many have prayed over the years but for some reason she felt called to ask for prayer for him last Wednesday evening.
We had all already given our prayer requests and began our time of prayer...each praying for the persons requests on their right.
Since she was to my right....I prayed for her requests.
As I began to pray for her requests a picture began to develop in my head. As I prayed for this young man I began to see walls made of concrete block...it was dark and I guess I thought I was looking at some alley between buildings. I couldn't see where it was...it just looked like a closed in place to my minds eye.
And then I felt a heat begin to build in me...kind of like the warmth of a fire...only I was feeling it on the inside. Words began to flow from my mouth that were calling for freedom for this young man....I knew the Spirit was praying through me. He called for the veil to be removed from this mans eyes...for him to be surrounded with the peace and love of God and for him to have a face to face with Jesus.
When I finished praying....I knew that something had taken place. I wanted to jump up and say, "Did you feel that?!...He was here...He is moving on behalf of this guy!!!". But I didn't....it had been so long since I had felt that fire that I thought maybe it was my imagination.
And then church last night.....when the lady who had made the request saw me...her face just lit up.
And I knew!
She spoke about the amazing things she had found out after the service last week. She had not even known at the time we were praying that her cousin had been arrested the day before and was actually in jail.
I think what I was seeing when I prayed were the concrete blocks inside the jail.
Either way.....his life had closed in around him. He told his family that he did not want them to post bail because He had found Jesus right there in jail.
I am just thanking God for the power of prayer! He talks...we listen...we pray what is according to His will and He moves. It is simple and it is beautiful.
And then this morning...if last night were not enough....I had a WONDERFUL talk with a sweet sister in Christ. I just love how He provided FB so that we could keep in contact. And the world thought it was for them! LOL Anyway....I had a sweet conversation with this sister. God used her to encourage my heart once again. Nice to know that He DID NOT put me in the back of the broom closet and forget about me. I am excited about what the future holds....even more excited about those individuals that He will use me to touch. There are so many out there that need to be touched by His love....they need to know that they are loved. Goodness...if it is hard sometimes to believe that this perfect God is willing to love this imperfect me..and I know Him....can you imagine how hard it is to imagine that He loves them and they don't even know Him?
I encourage to you today to reach out with His love. When you are reaching out....remember that you are touching a potential brother and sister. You are touching them with His love....a love that is so intense that it has the power to bring them home.
Well...that is it for now......love you!

A deeper level of intercession eh Sharon? I could FEEL the presence of the H/S in your post as you shared.

May God lift you up and keep you encouraged. Feel that heaviness is trying to pull you down - and why? You are moving to a deeper place with God - He loves you, He draws you closer...intimate, special, awesome.

You are always an encouragement to me, Sharon. Thank you for sharing this post with us and reminding us to allow God to use us, even when we wonder why in the world He would want to! It is not about me, but about Him! Will remember to pray for your men- I know what it is like to have men out on the ocean :)

Such is the power of prayer and the obedience of the one to pray in that power! God used you mightily to make a difference for his kingdom. I'm glad if you're beginning to see some beginning blossoms of spring! These are good days to be God's Easter people.

Well you brought some love to me. Your comment on my blog so humbled me and I'm so grateful Sharon! Sometimes we just never know how we come across. You certainly have the gift of encouragement like David with his Jonathan. 1 Sam 23:16. Love you girl!

Praise God for the breakthrough and for the Holy Spirit's inspiration. Your post brings tears to my eyes because I feel the need for a breakthrough in my own life. The enemy of our souls has been seeking to discourage me - through members of my church no less! But the enemy is a liar and I claim victory over discouragement and depression. In Jesus's name. Amen.

Jennifer....
Bless your heart. I too have been through times where it seemed as if the body of Christ was my greatest enemy. It is sad that often as believers we allow the enemy to use us to discouraged our "family".
I thank God for what He is going to teach you about Himself during this time. God does not take it lightly when anyone messes with His children...but at the same time He promises that if we place those circumstances in His hands....He is going to bring beautiful things because of them.
Hold on....I pray that you will be blown away by the love of our Daddy God as you seek His face. He loves you so dearly! :)
And I love you too sister.

And Jesus wept

A Prayer From Jesus

Jesus I brought this prayer to your people and they rejected it. So I added a comment on the importance of this prayer and your plan of Salvation, again no responses. Finally with fire and brimstone, mentioned their destination, it was as if they could not even hear.

Jesus am I to be a profit as unto Jeremiah or like unto Jonah. I fell like Jonah, no matter what I want to do, You all ways command me to do this small task, deliver Your prayer. Except the results are as unto Jermiah. When not one obeyed when You said, they will find safety out of the city.

Jesus, you created me as neither but one of power, in Jesus NAME. Devil in the NAME of JESUS I bind you in Jesus name. Release your hold on those who will be called, son's of Jesus. I command you in JESUS NAME to be gone from all who read this post, in Jesus Name. For the glory is yours alone Jesus. I lift your Name up in Praise now, Lord Jesus. Open my eyes in Jesus Name and let me receive from You, this very hour in JESUS NAME.

- A PRAYER FROM JESUS -

This prayer is from Jesus that we may hear from Him, that He may speak to our hearts. It only consist of three simple steps.

1, We need to read one scripture. This will focus us in the word that brings everlasting life.

2, Since this prayer is from Jesus we need to direct our prayer to Him personally. Too often Christian focuses they're prayer's to G_D or Father. Scripture proclaims, that Jesus should be the focus of our prayer.

3, The simplest part of this Prayer is to ask Jesus one question. Please, all that is required for this question is that it should be simple. Let Jesus Himself finish the question when He gives you that understanding through this prayer.

The PRAYER

A) The scripture that is the focus of this prayer is "ACTS 2:38". It's not necessary to do any study into this scripture. Jesus will give you the understanding that will resonate in your heart. Just read Acts 2:38, keep it in your heart and take this one scripture to prayer

B) The most important part of this prayer is that we need to direct our prayer directly to Jesus. If you normally would say Father in your prayer, change your focus from the Father to Jesus, by lifting Jesus name up every time you would normally use Father in your prayer.

C) Maybe the hardest part of this prayer is the question that we need to ask Jesus. For man is always trying to understand the question, instead of listening to the answer. The simplest question is all that is required.
Simply ask Jesus, 'WHY'?

For those who are obedient

Dear T-
The following words would be found in Red in most Bibles because they are the words of Jesus...
The Lord's Prayer

(The text from Matthew 6:9-13)

9 Let this then be your prayer:

Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

10 Let your kingdom come. Let your pleasure be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

11 Give us this day bread for our needs.

12 And make us free of our debts, as we have made those free who are in debt to us.

13 And let us not be put to the test, but keep us safe from the Evil One.

Hi Sharon,
Great testimony. God has a way of encouraging us especially when our mind is on the needs of others. Jesus did the same for his disciples when he sent them 2 by 2 to preach. While they were doing this for him Jesus went and preached in their cities. He knows how to take care of what concerns us. It truly is a win win situation and the miracles pour in.

God bless,
Joe Young
