An Awe Inspiring Drive

Sometimes it is just good to change up the schedule.
Time to leave behind the phones and mundane duties that call for our attention.
There are so many things out there that we are missing.
Little touches by God....today was a day to take some of those things in.
Time to ride beside my man...enjoying the tour and the company. :)
We haven't had a lot of snow lately....but the lingering cold has been used by God
to show us the creativity of His hand.

And although the streams still run........portions find that the white of ice replaces the white of white caps.
Keith had picked this ride out for me awhile back. He had been out hunting for a job when
he happened on these great formations of ice clinging to the rock sides.
But the time was not right for a ride....so he had to wait until the snow returned and the scenery  was created.
The location safely stored in his GPS.....the weather was finally right.

 .
It was really great that this was an out of the way road....because there was no place to pull over......and since I wanted to jump out with my camera.......I did not really want to meet some wild driver unaware.
Many of the free flowing creeks were frozen......but almost hidden was this little stream still making its way down the mountain side.

Here you see what all those little streams joined to create.

I don't know why this fascinates me so.....maybe it is that since I was raised in Louisiana the closest we ever came to this look was when white icing was was drizzled over the side of a chocolate cake.
Both beautiful.....but only one is hand created by our Creator. :)

Frozen moments for us to appreciate. I think sometimes we can feel like frozen icicles in our circumstances. Soon the love of His power and His ability to do something about them melts our suspension and our hope is renewed/restored once more. :)

Wow beautiful. God's creation.

I so agree we need to take time to leave phones and computers behind and enjoy. I need one of those days again soon.

Hi, Sharon! Thanks for coming by and also for welcoming Terri. I hope you'll forgive me; I did receive your email but was still hurting so much I couldn't concentrate. Seems now I'm back almost to myself, so I can get to it now. Thanks again!

Gorgeous! So glad you got out together. How sweet that he was so thoughtful and careful to keep track of the location and then take you back there at the right time!
