Our Visit

Just so ya'll don't think the holidays were miserable :) I thought I would post a little of our family time.

We had Christmas Day over at my brothers house...fun was had by all and it was great having  Michael, Cassie, and Mom and Dad there.
The rental Mom got was not available till Saturday...so Mom and Dad stayed with my brother and Cassie and Michael came and camped out with us. Michael tried his fishing pole out in the creek behind us and this is what he manage to get to shore.

He was pretty proud...wish I could say that we ate it....it was a beauty. It was so nice having Michael near...we had not seen him in over 6 months. I know this is a normal part of being a parent...but it is still hard.
Then it was time to get the rental ready for everybody.
It was so exciting because it was the first time we had ALL been together in several years.
The house was great...supposed to sleep 10....hope they don't know that for one night it slept 23!

The kitchen and dinning room area was pretty big...but still we sometimes had to eat in shifts.
This is my younger brothers boys....they other two were probably hanging out with Mom.
You know it is always a little uncomfortable meeting someone who will be joining the family.
Will they think the family is strange?
Will they fit in?
I think we have found a true fit for our family. What do you think?

This is Cassie (Michael's girlfriend) and Keith letting me know that they did not appreciate me pulling out the camera. She is sweet.....I think she will fit right in. :)

See the little game? Keith is trying to help Cassie remove as many pegs as possible so that she doesn't earn the ignoramus title. I'll not tell you how that went. ;)
On New Year's Eve my sister

informed everyone that we WOULD be taking family pictures. Have you ever tried to round up 23 people.....half of them being children 12 and under?

First we tried just the four of us(my bro David, me, Jeannie, and my brother Dewey who lives here)
can you tell my patience is getting a little thin already. Every time the three with cameras would try and get a good picture someone would run through the frame or someone would flash during the wrong time.
Hope someone got one a decent picture of me....since everyone else in this picture was cooperating.
Then it was time for grandparents and grandkids.....HA!

All the kids...notice my brother trying to keep one of his in the picture?
I took the shot and the little bit was gone again!

Here we are..see everyone looking in different directions?
That is what happens when you have three people manning the cameras!
At least we have a memory.
So... fun was had by all....and maybe next year we can do it again.
So went the reunion of 2009/2010!

How wonderful to be all together. I don't know how I missed your last post...gave me some chuckles...saw myself. I have the same discussions with myself about the Truth of who He is...that He must be true to Himself.....on and on we go. Thankful He does indeed see the big picture...so I ask God, "what do I need to hear from You?"... peace, be still
