Excuse this southern girl

Ya'll just excuse this post if you grew up with snow.
I give you permission to pass this post on by.
BUT!
If you did not grow up with snow......this is for you!
It is October...my brother has lived here for 10 years now and they have never
seen snow in October.....but that all changed last night.
Yesterday.
TODAY!
IT'S SNOWING---and yes, I was screaming that last statement! ;)
How FUN!
Now you Northern girls don't burst my bubble. Let me be excited at least for a little while.
They say we don't get this that often here.....so for now we will enjoy a little winter snow.
My truck.
Julia was so excited about the snow...so was Mom....but bummed that by the time she got out of school it would probably be gone. They had a two hour delay so it was nice to sleep in...of course you have to get up to see if there is a delay.
After this picture she made a point of mentioning that now she would have to fix her hair.
Thank you God for the snow!
This snow commercial is now over....we now will return you to regular programing. :)

I won't make fun of you- in my area of Canada, we don't get much snow either. It is so beautiful when snow carpets the world!

haha, wow! ya, even though we live in Canada, we actually get very little snow, when we get snow. And it looks like how much snow was in those photos of yours. That's all we get here. I think it's too cold when it snows, because where I live, it rains most of the time, so it's a wet snow. Not a dry snow like Alberta. I love the dry snow WAY more, it's a lot warmer, even though there's usually more of it!!! When I lived in Alberta for a year my legs never ached. My legs always ache when the weather changes here in British Columbia, because it's so damp!

I sent you an email this morning and you may be scratching your head trying to figure out some of it. I don't know what happened. I didn't realize you had posted these past couple of days. Sometimes my days are like that. I can only get to so many blog entries in one day. Sorry for any mixup!

Hey, we get excited like that over the first snow too! It's just when you have to shovel 3 feet Monday, 2 feet Tuesday let it melt for a day, then shovel another 3 feet with some nice heavy melted stuff that we start to complain! :)

I always pictured you as a "truck" kind of gal!

Becca in cold not snowy yet Wisconsin

It is sooo beautiful. You sure have moved to a beautiful area.
Julia (and her hair) look gorgeous - but I hate almost every photo taken of me, I think my hair goes flat at the sight of a camera lens!

Sharon,

Oh my goodness. Snow in North Carolina in October. That is unusual.

We used to get snow in October when I was a kids, but that hasn't happened for years. We had storm warnings out and the Nor' easter headed our way, but missed us. An hour west of here they had 4 to 6 inches.

I won't burst your bubble. I know how excited you and your daughter must be. I'm so glad that you were able to experience this. God does indeed give us the delights of our hearts.

Blessings,
Mary

I've only lived in New England for TWO years, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first snow. As cold as it is, it's absolutely beautiful. It almost snowed here a few nights ago and I got so excited.

Looks like you got all our snow.
