The conference, and see you soons......

Our conference ended today.
Things went great...thanks for the prayers.
We ended up with about 22 children in our group and things went very smoothly. Our theme this year was Treasure Island. We have been collecting decorations for a few years so this year the room looked great.Of course we know that the greatest treasure ever to be found is Jesus. We used the story of Daniel and the story of John Patton ( a missionary) to show the children that Jesus has a fantastic plan for their lives .....if they will just turn it over to Him.
And of course we had lots of fun making a great project for them to take home.
They actually sanded the board and stained it themselves. The box on the bottom is a pencil box which they also stained......garbage bags work great as paint shirts. :)
Then we used buttons to attach a string to hang their board. We included a note pad and a pencil so that they could write down prayer request and put them in the box. Later we told them to go back and read the prayer request so that they could see how God answered their prayers.
We had several different pictures that they could pick from to put on their boards...these are just two choices. Didn't they do a great job?
My sister Jeannie and my good friend Linda were also teachers.....we make a great combo.
This is Linda.....we have been together for over 6 years. We saw each other at least three days a week and we were fishing buddies. It was very hard to see her pack up and head home.
I love you Linda. :(
(I can't show the picture I took of my sister or she will kill me.) ;)

So now we have the wind down.
Mom, Dad and Jeannie will be here till Sunday....then they will go home
and the reality will set in.
But, it will be great to have them here for another few days.

So I am off to my brothers house for some family time and I will check in again a little later on.
Love ya and talk to ya soon!
