Favor With God and Man!

The conference grounds of Lake Junaluska, North Carolina

We have had a great few days.
Friday (thanks to my GPS) I found the little post office tucked away on a side street.
I got there about 12:10 and was quickly reminded that things move a little slower here when I saw the sign that said the Post Office was closed from 12:00 to 2:00 for a lunch break.
How would you like to have a two hour lunch break?
You could have lunch and a nap!
So I ran to Walmart and picked up a few things necessary and a few things now necessary. ;)
Then I headed back to the Post Office to see if I could get a P.O Box without all of the rigmarole
that I was told I would have to take care of.
We I walked in I thanked God that I had favor with Him and man....and then I waited my turn.
While standing there I heard the guy behind the counter say that they were in the process of moving here themselves. I would later find out that he was driving an hour and a half both ways to work until they found a house.
It was my turn and I walked up to the counter and told the guy that we had just arrived and I needed to get a box. I told him that I did not have an address since we were staying in the camp ground until we got a house.
Imagine my surprise, delight and silly feeling when he said, You know my wife and I were thinking about doing the same thing. The drive is killing me.
I almost laughed out loud.
Imagine him being the one to wait on the window that particular day.
God really took care of me.
So now I have an address!

P.O Box 115
Lake Junaluska, North Carolina

And after this I was able to go and get our checking account set up and we had favor with God and man there too.
After we had gone through all the paper work and they deposited our money the guy then told us that we would not be able to get a hold of our money till the 7 of August.
I thought he was joking.
I told him that is was not possible and he was going to have to do something--bills do have to be paid. So he went out and came back---a little red faced--but we now have money.
So now I need to take care of bills...fun, fun!

We spent today taking it easy and have some good food and fun with my brothers family and my Mom and Dad. Most of my down south family are on there way in because our conference starts tomorrow evening. (pictures above)
We will begin the set up tomorrow afternoon and then the race is on.
Please be praying for the families that are coming in.
Pray that those who do not know Him would have hearts ready to hear His voice.
And pray for those of us who will be teaching that the Spirit will speak mightily through us.
It is going to be a fantastic week........satan is trembling.
And the good thing is that at the end of the week.....I am already HOME!
How perfect is that?

Again posting will be limited this coming week.
Yes, I know you are probably getting tired of hearing that.....but soon we will be back to normal.

One thing I would love for you to pray for.
School here starts on the 19th......I need to be here for Julia getting started.
I have the chance to go to the Beth Moore conference in San Antonio that starts on the 22nd of August. Actually it is already payed for since I purchased my ticket last September and got the room way before we knew about our move. I will have to leave much earlier as I am going with a friend from back home. So I will really have to leave here on the 20th.
I want to do what God wants me to do and be where He wants me to be.
The part of me who dislikes rush and hassle almost wants to say....forget about it.
So if you could pray about this I would really appreciate it.
Talk to ya'll soon!

Had to laugh aloud about a two hour lunch break. While I might need a place like that to slow me down I think it would drive me crazy. I am one quick woman! LOL! You know, of course, dear sister, I will be praying. So good to hear from you. An address! Woohoo!

Thanks for the update. Lake Junaluska is a good place to land!

I love the slow pace of small town life. I was made for it. Thus, I have no aspirations of moving to a big city.

Enjoy the pace of settling in. Sounds like this is an adventure of epic proportions!

As for the Beth Moore thing, I'll be praying. It is sure to be a blessed and good time, but the hassle in getting there would also give me reason to pause.

Will you do me a favor? When you find out what normal is, would you let me know. I've been waiting for things to get back to "normal" in so long, I don't know what normal is anymore. :) I'm glad you're in NC! Welcome to NC! I love the slower pace and the friendlier, down-to-earth folks of the South. I sure do!

I know it shouldn't- but it always amazed me how things work together when we let God have full control.

Hey girl....... I am so far behind in my reading and I will catch up this weekend I pray...... I used to claim favor with God in many things in my life but I guess along the way I have forgotten to do that...... you have brought back to my heart that precious promise.......... I will pray for the conference and pray about the school...... I have so loved watching and walking with you through this change in your life.... I know that God has His hands right in the middle of all the makings........ He is a good God........

Hurry over to post a comment on my blog and get your name in the pool pot!

Oh my good golly gracious! What wonderful things to report! I didn't know whether to laugh or throw-up for you when the banker said no money accessible til 7 August! So many things turned around for you! Signs that God has gone BEFORE you to North Carolina! Looks like Keith and you landed right smack-dab where He intended!

Praying for the whole Beth Moore and the 1st day of school thing.

xoxo,
Maria

What a full plate you have, I feel overwhelmed when I have so much planned too. I like to just go with the flow but God sometimes has a planned plate for me too.
Good luck with the Beth Moore conference decision and I love how beautiful the grounds are.

I do remember the old burger king commercials too very funny I thought of that too.

Sharon,

I am delighted that you were able to get a PO Box so you have an address. God was watching out for you. Don't you love it when you know He has had His hand in things?

I will pray for the families coming in to the conference and for your trip.

Love and blessings,
Mary
