SISTERS BY BLOOD

For awhile now I have wanted a way to express what is in my heart
regarding my blogging sisters.
They are my Sisters--and I love them.
After getting an award from a friend (that she had made herself)- I mentioned that I would love to have one to give out. So as sweet as you please--- she made one for me. I wanted her to use the picture in my blog header, because it speaks of what is in my heart.
Women walking this walk together-- arm in arm.
I told her that if it did not sound too strange that I wanted it to be called
SISTERS BY BLOOD.
This is what she said.
I like the idea of Sisters by Blood. It reminded me of that “blood sister” thing kids use to do where you pricked your finger and then pressed them together with your best friend to show that you are bonded together for life. And really that is what we are—through Jesus bound together for eternity.

How cool is that?
That is really what was in my heart. Sister bound together for eternity!
So-- this is not really an award. You became a member of this sister club when you gave your heart to Christ. And so, if you are a Christian------YOU ARE MY SISTER!
I am going to pass this on to women I have gotten to know. Women that by the heart they display through their blogs--show the blood they have been washed in. Blood, that at the cross--sealed our sisterhood for eternity.
We will walk the streets of GOLD arm in arm!

Post this (if you would like) with pride.
Pride in the ONE who gave His blood, so that we would forever be bound together as............ SISTERS!

I love you with the love of our Father.
Thank you for walking this earth with me arm in arm.
I thank my Father upon every remembrance of you

These are your sisters.

If you decide to post this on your blog just let me know in the comment area so that I can come by for a visit. And if you are a sister in Christ......please feel free to take a button
and put it on your blog.

The first one will go to the creator of the button--thank you Jenny. You are a blessing.

...and now we sing...(I'm not sure if I know the exact words but the song goes something like this.) We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. We are one, in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord and they'll know we are Christians by our love by our love, yes they'll know we are Christians by our love.
Thanks Sharon! It's nice to have you as a sister in the Lord.

I just have to thank you! Karen @ Karen's Ramblings has shared this already wirh me and many others. I am getting ready to do the same. I have to say, my spirit lept & I was so excited that we would be spreading the awareness of this sacred privledge we have btwn us!

***I was listening to a teaching show that has blessed by since August 99, and he was teaching about the blood covenant we have and what it means & he spoke about Jonathan and David and it was such rich teaching, but, I have been listening to this being taught at the same time I was reading about this on line!

Talk about some conformation!

I will be blogging about this in the future...I can feel it!

Be blessed!

What a wonderful idea, Sharon. Thank you! I have been so blessed by the blogging community this year! It has been a gift to me.

And have I ever told you how much I love the picture of the women arm-in-arm? Where did you find it? I even tried to do an internet search for it once! It is my favorite!

Thankyou so much for the award. Like some others, this is my first!
I also like the idea behind the picture- the sisters walking arm in arm.
(Now, because of what I say next, I am expecting you to delete my comment...only because that's what people have done when they don't like what I say...)
I truly appreciate your award...BUT, in my good conscience I can't post the award becasue, to be honest, I wouldn't wear what your ladies are wearing (*wink*)...As my sister by birth says "You dress frumpy..."
I hope you understand my convictions. I don't want to put on the appearance of endorsing what I would not wear myself. I hope I have not offended you.

That is such a beautiful sentiment, so touchingly phrased *sniff*. It echoes how I've been feeling so grateful to be able to share in the lives of other Christian ladies throughout the world. And I love the artwork, too! Thank you, Sharon. I am so grateful and honoured to have you as a sister in the Lord.
hugs, K

I've always loved your header. Each time I stop by it is an immediate reminder to me of who we are in Him. We are not the "wimp" that satan would like for us to think! It is a pleasure to walk with you and the Sisterhood arm in arm this side of Heaven...
Thank you and much love Sis...

Thank You so much for the button , it means so much to me . Just thinking about that some day walking aroung together arm and arm . To See our Lord , singing together . I'm so greatful for meeting so many women that love the Lord on the Blog and on RMS . It makes one's heart sing . I remember asking the women on RMS to pray for a young man with cancer . To my surprise many many women said they would and then ask for prayer from me and others . Others told me others were also praying and asking for prayer for their family and friends . I don't know when it started but I so very grateful it did . After the young man passed on I posted pictures of a candle light walk I was in at the High school . So many people responded so kindly with kind words and prayers I don't think RMS ever had any idea what they started but I thank them and God fot bringing so many good people together . , Thank You friend . Mary

Were you peeking inside of my heart? This is exactly how I feel and I'm glad there are women like you out there.

I'll spare you my "unwelcomed" experience, but God is good, and led me to this most delightful group!

Blessings to you!

I just came across this and I am soooo blessed reading this!! For many of us our Chrstian faith means suffering persecution from our biological family and knowing this true blessing of the "family of God" and knowing you have sisters in Christ is such a wonderful blessing.

Blessings,
Julie
