Speed Bumps

Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a Loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make It to a place called Success. Author Unknown

I am so glad that when Christ looks at me-- He sees not who I am, but who I will be.
How sad it would have been- if at the beginning of time God saw a girl named Sharon and all that she would do wrong and He decided not to create her.
How I would have missed out on hearing His sweet voice, and feeling loved by Him.
And......
He would have missed the same.
He would have missed me-- God, I love you.

He created me and you because He long for a relationship with us.
YOU AND ME!
He anticipated the day we would be born.
How during our time in the womb, He would loving decide what color eyes I would have and what color hair would go best with them.
And I guess He is thinking gray hair goes good with my eyes at this time in my life. :)

He is enthralled by my beauty--and yours too.
He sees the powerful warrior I am becoming.
He glories in the graceful woman of God I am turning in to.
He did not stop being involved in my growth at birth.
He is still lovingly guiding what is going on with my entire being.

Dear God
thank you for loving me.
Thank you for showing me your face and your hands.
Talk to my sisters today.
Let them feel your love today like a cool breeze on a hot summer day.
May they be refreshed.

I was thinking about the IHOP (International House of Prayer), the main one I know of is in Kansas City, Missouri. Here are some links I thought you might be interested in:

I love thisI love this posting about speed bumps and the quotation. Awesome. I had a picture of you as I was praying just now, I could see you walking along, and then this mighty wind came from behind and propelled you forward. Reminded me of when as a child (and I'd forgotten until I saw this) how I used to love that feeling of walking on a windy day near the beach and would feel the wind pushing me along, making me laugh and feel 'light'. The Holy Spirit is going to direct you, you will feel his power and anointing upon you and you will know which way to go - 'cos he's taking you there. Wooh. Very powerful picture.

Now I've just thought this since typing it and this could well just be 'Karen' thinking, but this was the thought pattern - The Wizard of Oz, the winds, Kansas City - the weather patterns in Kansas. I'm wondering if God is going to lead you to a visit there for the IHOP, but that could be just my thoughts, but please test the picture I had - it was very powerful!

I guess I needed to read that today :) - I love that you used Philippians 4:13 - it got my attention *smile*...
You know, many think that our life in Christ will be much easier, but it really is not. We still have to bumps in road of life, but we do have Someone who will lighten our burden traveling that road :)

Thank you for sharing this beautiful reflection today.

Be blessed today and always.
