Thankful Thursday

So much has been happening lately that I am truly thankful for.
I love this day.
A day set aside to remember those special things that we too often forget.
Last night at church my pastor was talking about how he had sat in the silence and listened to his heart beat. Something we don't often do because there is too much noise or commotion going on around us. He stopped and thought about the fact that without the hand of God--that heart would not even be there. And it surely would not be beating if God had not breathed the breath of life into him.
So I want to thank God for creating me. Creating me just so He could have fellowship with ME.

I will probably never get away from Thankful Thursday without talking about how thankful I am for my little church with it's BIG heart.
I love this group of people more than my life itself. Sounds like pretty strong words?
It is true. I am excited at the burdens God has given me for them. And I am so thankful when He lets me pray for one and see the incredible power of prayer.
I was so thankful to walk into church last night and see my buddy, Danny.
I am thankful for the incredible way God used him to teach us all something incredible.
Prayer really works.

And I am thankful for the conference we are about to leave for. God is preparing little hearts to hear Him speak. Some may take this week to have their name forever written in the Lambs Book of Life-how cool is that?
And I am thankful that I will get to spend a whole week working along side my hubby and my parents. I am truly blessed.
Also, while I am in Texas, I plan to go to one of my favorite places and get its fabulous beef jerky. Even though I know it will get stuck in my braces--- I don't care it will be worth it.
So I am thankful for good beef jerky!
And last but not least--I am thankful that my heart is at peace with my God!

I love you guys!

Last night at church, I had a similar experience as your Pastor mentioned. I was able to just sit and reflect in silence as I prayed. It was beautiful and something I dearly needed. I enjoyed your list. Have a blessed TT!

Enjoy your conference time (and the beef jerky!) I have been practicing waiting for God instead of rushing through quiet time and man when I do, I hear Him! Praise God.

It is so wonderful that you are surrounded by such loving congregation :). I think small churches are great, because no one 'gets lost' in the membership...
I am glad that you have the opportunity to get away with your husband :)

Thank you for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Be blessed and have a wonderful time and safe trip.

Praying for you, as you go next week! I think you said it's near Fredrickburg? There is some good fudge there on the main area in town. Also, Enchanted rock is a must! I will pray for many to come to know the LORD!
PS I'm behind on posting, but will try to post tonight--VBS is this week and I'm a teacher. One boy in my group named Maguire asked Jesus in his heart today!!!

I love my church, too. It's such a blessing when you finally find a church to belong to. Loved your list!! You had asked if my husband works in the restaurant business. He does... he is a cook at Carrabba's Italian Resturant. Thankfully his hand didn't burn real bad. I hope you have a blessed weekend!!

What a great list of things to be thankful for!
I do a list of 7 things I am thankful for every Sunday. It seems like the number of participants is becoming less and less. I am considering joining the Thankful Thursday.
