Rusty

Today was a little sad. Above is our dog of 14 years--his name was Rusty. This morning we had to put him down. He was a little part of our family and
we will miss him.
We took him to the farm in Franklinton and buried him in his bed under a big oak tree. He loved the farm. He would go with Keith and walk back and forth following Keith on the tractor. The next day he would limp around like the old man he was--but he had had fun.
Today was a good family bonding time. I know that sounds strange. We could have just let the vet take care of him but we needed to say good bye. We cried as we put our little one in the ground but we know he is no longer in any pain. So today we said good bye to a little peice of our family--but he will always be a part of our lives.

I am so sorry for your loss. What a difficult yet loving decision you made. My oldest dog is 13 1/2 and I know that someday soon, I may be in the same situation. :(

Again I am so incredibly sorry and may the Good Lord give you all comfort.
