A little good

I could not end the night with the last post-- so here are some neat things from our trip to the farm today. I am not sure what the flower is that Julia found growing wild-but didn't God do a great job on this odd gem? We both loved the colors.
Next on the left you will see my sons foot. It is around a size 12--so that means we have about a size 12 watermelon. There are lots of them all over the place. About the 1st of July we will have watermelons coming out of the wazoo. Maybe a little before. Washington parish watermelons are the best and the sweetest.
On the right you will find the down fall of my diet. Yes, blackberries. Most were still red, but the ones who passed the color test found themselves in a bucket and on their way to Covington to join a few other ingredients in a blackberry cobbler. Now I have already told Halfmoon Girl that I blew my no sugar fast or diet. Keith stopped and pick up some Bluebell homemade vanilla to put on top of our warm cobbler--can you say, slap your mama good. (southern expression) It was a good way to close our day. I'll pay for it later--but it was worth it.

So catch up with us in July and we will be passing out watermelon.

Thanks for putting up with four post today!

Mmmm...Mmmm...blackberry cobbler and blue bell. I think that is an everyday event in Heaven!

I'm sorry about your dog Rusty. That breaks my heart.

We'll be driving through on July 1st, so save a watermelon for my family :) I really, really want to like it, but everyone else loves it! I always wanted to spit the seeds with my cousins! Hee hee...refined girl that I am.

Oh, enjoy your Tuesday, Friend! I am teaching at VBS this week. It's a different style than I'm used to...many ages in my group and we eat lunch! So in the mornings, I have to get my crew together to leave by 7:55...quite a task for me, since I don;t really get going early in the morning.
Thank you for your good God words to me today!
Love,
Holly

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...slap your mama good! LOL I don't think I'll use that saying here -- it probably won't go over very well. LOL I LOVE watermelon and you reminded me -- I have a 1/4 of one in the fridge. It will be yummy with lunch. Oh yeh -- the blackberries -- what about some on your cereal or yogurt? I put mixed fruit (raspberries, blackberries & blueberries) in my cereal everyday. YUM! And fresh is even better!! :) D

Yummy, black-berries. And blackberry cobbler sounds even better :)

I really enjoy watermelons, but I don't like too many seeds in mine - I know, I am picky :)

Blessings to you and yours...
