Thankful Thursday

^i^ <> Lately life has been a little topsy turvy--so I am thankful for the quiet moments when I don't feel guilty for just sitting and vegging.

^i^ <> I am thankful for the women in my life that are strong in their relationships with God so that I am free to tell them that I am exhausted and don't have anything to give them --without having to be afraid that I might cause them to stumble. God knows I love my girls! I thank God for them often.

^i^ <> I am thankful for the words that Jesus left us. And for the fact that He let us know that even He took time away from people to renew His strength.

^i^ <> I am thankful that I can go to God and pray for Heather and I know that He hears my prayers and the prayers of many other thousand women who are also praying for her today on the day of her brain surgery. Thank you God for her healthy recovery!

^i^ <> Thank you God for the word from you given to me through my pastor. Isa 58:11-"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." Thank you to my pastor for listening to God.

^i^ <> I want to thank Jesus for the opportunity to walk the path He has chosen for me, and for the opportunity to truly know Him in such an intimate way.
I love you Jesus.

Face to Face

Face to face with my Savior -what will can say?
On His knees beside my chair -He looks into my eyes in His imploring way.
Overwhelmed by the intimacy,
I want to run.
His eyes so full of acceptance,
I fear the conversation has just begun.

“I love you, He says-
It is not, I love you - if you love Me.
It is not, I love you - when you love Me.
It is not, I love you -because of the way you love Me.”

“The truth is I love you with every breath that I take.
You’re alive
because My life revolves around you.
Like a doll in the store window, gazed upon by the wistful eyes of a small child,
I long for the day when I will bring you home and make you Mine- all Mine.”
S.B.

And yes, I always forget to do this. For more on Thankful Thursday go to, Sting My Heart--she is our hostess and there are more Thankful Thursdays to check out.

I am glad that you took time to sit and veg! I did the same thing yesterday and watched Pride & Prejudice. Praising the Lord that you have freedom with the ladies in your life. I lost a friend because she was unable to understand that I needed time to refuel and reconnect with God in order to minster to her more effectively. I pray that she has matured and has found another mentor!

Thank you Sharon for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Yes, sometimes we get burned out on life itself. You are right--He took time away from His beloved people and prayed to get refreshed. I am just glad that He has opened the door to the throne room.

Have a blessed Thursday evening.
