Good morning!
It is a rainy Friday here. The sun is up but it is not making a real difference in the morning sky. There is thunder and lighting all around and it is the type of day to crawl back into to the bed
with someone you love. ;)
My someone special has already left the house to go take care of payroll since it is Friday --and the boys need to get paid.
So I thought I would talk to ya'll a little while. Aren't you glad?
It has been good to be alive the past two days. Well it is always good to be alive-but sometimes God gives ya a little extra to be thankful for.
First and foremost---I love my man! Yes, that is him in the upper left. That was taken last year at the Alamo. And that brings up the fact that my man is going to take me away this weekend. No, we are not going to the Alamo-- but, we are going away! Where? Don't know. Next, notice the picture on the right. Boys and their toys--we have two. Yes, two big boys and two toys. So we were thinking since it will be just the two of us---hallelujah--we would go ahead and bring along the toys. If--and that is a big if--we feel like getting out we will go find a spot to get a little muddy. Can't help but think of that commercial for the gum--ya know the one where the people are all muddy but they smile and their teeth are all a sparkle?
If we get to that point--- I will pull out the camera.
And if we don't feel like getting out we will make sure to find some place with room service or find a pizza service to deliver. It is time for a little pampering.
Now the other thing I am thankful for is, a friend of mine named Linda. Yep, my friend, my girl and my pastors wife. One big bundle of, goooood for me. She is going to keep Julia this weekend while we make our escape. I love ya girl! And when you are ready to make your great escape-- I got your back. Or should I say your grandkids? :)
And you know I am ready for that offer for some fishing. Have minnow bucket and pole--ready to go. Did I tell you that your hubby said if the two of us need to get away just to let him know?
I think I hear the beach calling. Or the mountains with a big stocked pond!
Next, I want to give a little shout out to my friend, Sweetie--don't you think that is a cute name?
I wrote something for my Mom for mother's day. (We will see if Mom is reading my blog today.)
And Sweetie has been sweet enough to do a little something special with it for my mom for Mother's day. Thank you girl. She knows I've been a little swamped and she stayed up all Wednesday night working on it. What a girl! And she is going to take over my girl's Sunday school class so I can take a breather.
God has surrounded me with such incredible people--I truly feel unworthy.
But I would not trade any of them in. And no, I'm not sharing.
But, if you pray like I did for God to send you a friend---you might just get more than one. I did!
So, here is a shout out to all those women (and the men) who make me realize how much my God loves me. He not only surrounds me with His loving hands but He surrounds me with the loving hands of people who are so special to me. And let me just say, I have been touched by some hands that were not so loving---but hold on, 'cuse God can use that for your good too!
Don't close off your heart.
If you do--ya might just miss some lovin' hands that God is bringing your way!
He loves us so.
My heart is full.
Nuff said.

Hope you have a fabulous, fun weekend. It is 9:30 pm here and I did not get a chance to really eat dinner as I was racing to get K to hardball. I just read your steak instructions and my mouth is watering! I did not attempt to make steaks yet, as I was awaiting some advice. Thank you!
