A little look into the past with Mrs Nufon

Good mornin dears! What a blessed Sunday I had. What appeared to be startin as a dreary day, turned out right nice. With the little nip in the air sum of us had to redo our Sunday duds. But all in all it was a fine Resurrection Sunday. Don'tcha know that all those people we been missin--they sure showed up today. Guess they figured if the God Lord could make it up out of the grave for them they could get on up out of the bed for him.
Well i guess i ought to explain that young woman sittin before ya.(Picture above)
If you were thinkin she was kinda familir-you were right. It's me in those younger yers when the good Lord was still blessing me with a little color in my do. Can't say my sense of style was much better. Will ya take a gander at those slippers. Sorry the picture is a little lacking but ya know cameras were not up to par with what we got today.
Now that we covered me--how about a grin or two? For all us girls wantin to maintain our girly figures after one too many of them chocolate bunnys--heres sumthin to ponder over. Don't rightly reckon it'll work but it is worth the chuckle anyway.

Proper weight control cannot be attained by dieting alone; however, many people who are engaged in sedentary occupations do not realize that calories can be burned by the hundreds by engaging in strenuous activities that do not require much (or any) physical exercise.
Here's the guide to calorie-burning activities and the number of calories per hour they consume.

Beating around the bush . . . . . . . . .75
Jumping to conclusions . . . . . . . . . 100
Climbing the walls . . . . . . . . . . . 150
Swallowing your pride. . . . . . . . . .50
Passing the buck . . . . . . . . . . . .25
Pushing your luck. . . . . . . . . . . 250
Making mountains out of molehills. . . 500
Hitting the nail on the head . . . . . .50
Bending over backwards . . . . . . . . .75
Running around in circles. . . . . . . 350
Climbing the ladder of success . . . . 650

And now it is about time for me to get movin. But before i go i have one ast little tidbit for ya. This will make ya wonder just how much of what we say is understood.

Timmy was a little five year old boy that his Mom loved very much and, being a worrier, she was concerned about him walking
to school when he started Kindergarten. She walked him to school the couple of days but when he came home one day, he
told his mother that he did not want her walking him to school everyday. He wanted to be like the "big boys." He protested
loudly, so she had an idea of how to handle it.

She asked a neighbor, Mrs. Goodnest, if she would surreptitiously follow her son to school, at a distance behind him that he
would not likely notice, but close enough to keep a watch on him. Mrs. Goodnest said that since she was up early with her
toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well so she agreed.

The next school day, Mrs. Goodnest and her little girl, Marcy, set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with
another neighbor boy he knew. She did this for the whole week.

As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, the little friend of Timmy noticed that this same lady was following
them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally, he said to Timmy, "Have you noticed that lady following us all week?
Do you know her?"

Timmy nonchalantly replied, "Yea, I know who she is."

The little friend said, "Well who is she?"

"That's just Shirley Goodnest" Timmy said.

"Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us?"

"Well," Timmy explained, "every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers 'cuz she worries about me so
much. And in it, the prayer psalm says, "Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my life." so I guess I'll
just have to get used to it.

Now you know it takes more energy ta frown than ta give a smile. So go ahead and take it a little easy today---Smile!
I'll be seein ya real soon
Go With Jesus!
