Not a Susie Home Maker--but here goes!

It is that time of year again.
The smell of sweet fruit in the air. And time for all kinds of mouth watering temptations How about some Louisiana Strawberries? Strawberry shortcake, chocolate covered strawberries, whipped cream and strawberries and what I chose to do --strawberry jam. Time for some bagels and cream cheese topped by a little sweet jam.
And why the little burst of susie homemaker? Well, as you know Wednesday, is the day of my womens group. It also happens to be the birthday of Mrs Jean. Now if you have every seen a ray of sun shine--that's Mrs Jean. She loves to talk and she loves us girls. She has a smile that is so sweet and I love to see her walk in the door.
So, how many of us have reached that special day and it really was not so special after all? So-- my goal is to make sure that my girls at least get noticed in group and feel special that day. Tomorrow we will have bagels, cream cheese and fresh strawberry jam. And then I got a little gift certificate for Mrs Jean from my favorite store. And then, since I did not can the jam, I have a little jar of jam for each of the girls to take home. Any one want to come to group?
I have posted a picture below of my favorite store. It is like being in the restaurant business all over again-without the stress. I can find all kinds of neat things to experiment with and they have great coffee. Wednesday morning we are going to try-Georgia Pecan. Yesterday I found a new product for me --a new vanilla product! (Pssssst- I put some in the strawberry jam!) Vanilla makes everything better.
Well, almost everything--please don't put it on my steak.
Well, it is time to go and study to show myself approved. Have a great day and remember--Go With God!

Think she'll like her gift card? Hint, Hint!

Oh, I love strawberries, especially with a little whip-cream on top :) Yummy. I am sure Mrs. Jean will enjoy the gift...I know I would.
