Ventured out again with Juliet this morning...notice that we are still experiencing some gray skies. Just want to give a shout out to God....the one who made sure we did not loose electricity and allowed our heaters to work so well that we did not have to use our gas. Thank you Jesus!
Most everything is still covered in snow...although we jump when occasionally clumps of snow fall from the trees. I couldn't help but notice this creek side rock. It reminded me of times when our lives feel covered and frozen spiritually. But....because we know the Father of Lights....we know the thaw is coming!
That truth brings such joy to my heart.
And here is my crazy girl venturing out into the water.....I can not even imagine how cold the water is. I think she must think it is safer to be standing in the water rather than under trees that are dropping little gifts on our heads. :)
And finally....my heart is warmed by the blue skies peeking out every once in awhile. Glory!
After so many days without being able to see the sun.... it is a relief to see some blue skies today. That joy is tempered by the fact that we have been told there will be a "wrap around" of the storm...so we may see a little more of the white stuff before it is all over.
We are back in the camper now and it sounds like we are being bombarded with tiny little snow bombs as the snow falls out of the trees onto the camper. Juliet is not a happy camper....for such a big dog she can not handle the noise. At the moment she is curled up beside me shaking.....afraid something is trying to get in and get her.
Isn't that so much like us?
Not knowing the true meaning of all that is going on around us we are often sent into a tizzy of frenzy.
Instead.....maybe we should just curl up with God and rest in the ONE who surrounds us and lives in us.
So thought for the day........
Of course it is important to look into the Word to learn more about the One who loves us....
but at the same time
if we look at our lives through His eyes
we will find that there are messages of His faithful love for us "hidden" everywhere.
After all He is...Emmanuel...God with us. :)

AMEN & AMEN! I can imagine our Molly being freaked by the sounds of dropping snow bombs...she is such a chicken little.
I love your post and thank you so much for the beautiful pictures! Great job :)
Be blessed today,
Debbie
Your girl is so beautiful, Sharon, I am quite jealous. What a cutie. I love the new look to your site. It's fresh and sharp.
Thank you for this post. It'full of truth and points to the Lord. There's encouragement for those who feel weary in the fight and direction for those who have perhaps taken their eyes briefly off God because of other things going on.
Praying God blesses you and protects you during the wrap up of the storm. May you find safety in the everlasting arms of the Father.

Beautiful pictures, Sharon. We don't get much snow here, and I love it when we do. I am glad you are staying warm :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
It looks like a beautiful place to walk in any weather. :)
These are beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing them and for sharing your thoughts.

I love snow scenes via photography! I especially like the blue sky through the trees! I find such a pristine beauty with the snow, especially when viewed in the mts. So glad for the warmth God has provided you in the midst of the cold. I imagine its easy for you to find God there... in your mts. I have a dream of living there someday.
We're expecting snow this Tuesday. It's not as pretty here, but I always enjoy seeing the flakes flying (not the snow days attached to that flying!).
Blessed Sabbath rest, sister.
