Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!

I don't know about ya'll
but when cool starts to creep into the everyday air.......I feel the urge to COOK!
What is up with that? Do you think maybe in days gone by it was a natural urge brought on by the need to fatten up for winter time?
News break.......I don't need to fatten up! :0 We are actually in the process of off loading some fat! But PlEASE don't let this turn you aside from turning on those ovens and giving this recipe a try. After all we don't have to eat all that we cook. Although I might add that this bread tastes fabulous with a little butter warmed in a pan and then sprinkled with a little powdered sugar.
Add a cup of coffee or vanilla almond tea........be still my heart!

For me nothing brings back great memories from childhood faster
than great smells coming from the kitchen.
I know I have probably listed this recipe before...but it is SOOO good. And it is easy.
You can reduce the cinnamon by one teaspoon and add a quarter teaspoon of nutmeg--I find I like it this way. But it is great both ways.
Usually around Christmas...yes, it will be here soon....I buy the little disposable loaf tins and one recipe will make 4 small ones. And like the recipe says....it freezes very well.
Enjoy! Just don't eat it all. :)

Pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin pie! Yea! Yea! Yea! Even though all are loaded with things I am not allowed to eat...I justify them easier because it is made of a vegetable! LOL! Gotta be good for ya! Love the look! Did you get someone to redo your blog? Or was this your own genius? Either way I like it! Hugs to you!

Sharon,

I love everything pumpkin and this sounds delicious. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe. I am going to try it using Splenda, since I can't have sugar. Mmm!

Hey girl, I love your new look. The header is absolutely magnificent. What a great job.

Take care, my friend.
Blessings,
Mary

mmmmm, I can almost taste it. Nothing says fall like the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon flavoured baking!

For me the desire to cook comes when we turn the clocks and it gets dark by dinner time.

Oh you gave me that recipe last year and it's a hit around here!! I'll have to make some more. I can't eat it because of gluten, so that's a good thing. I've been craving some crustless pumpkin pie -- so I'm going to put pumpkin on my shopping list for this week.

I'm glad that I've inspired you about getting up early & spending time with the Lord. It's been a good week. I've pleaded with him to let me be able to do this -- to give me the strength and I've felt him help me haul myself out of bed each morning. PTL! I pray that I will be able to continue. I feel like the former "me" again!

((( hugs ))) I wish that we could have a cup of hot coffee or tea together! Oh I'd love that! D

Odd! I can't see your font/writing in the body of your blog entries. I can only see the links on the left hand side.

It's working again. I can see your entries now. Thanks for the recipe although I'm not sure what they mean by shortening liquid. What's that? Cooking oil? I don't bake much. They would make nice gifts though, huh? How are things with you these days? Any closer to knowing when you're headed out this way?

RYC: I just finished writing Luv4mysons back because I am concerned I may have given the wrong impression on my blog today. I didn't mean to imply that I was completely fear-free only that I have been healed of a lot of fear and anxiety and I am not as concerned as I usually am. The Lord is healing me and I am a work in progress.
