Beyond My Faults By David Phelps

Last night I was watching a rerun on TBN and they were doing a recap of a program for Dottie Rambo. She recently went home to meet the God she loved and wrote about so often. This woman of faith wrote countless songs for our Lord. This songs words are important and incredible.

Joyce Meyers has been speaking on grace the last few days. They asked people what one of their biggest questions was about God and their relationship with Him. You know what they wanted to know? How do I know when I have done enough?---- Enough praying, enough reading my Bible, enough good works. I think you and I can at times identify with this.

Instead of just coming to Him because we love Him---satan gets tangled in our thoughts and we do it because we owe Him.....more...more.....MORE. And then when we don't sometimes it is easy to feel like He is mad at us. And like Joyce said this morning.....who wants to be around someone who you feel you must always be walking on egg shells with.

I have been here.....I think we all have. God is not mad with us. He is not going to allow sin in our lives but HE LOVES US. So tender are His thoughts towards us. He just wants us to know Him and enjoy being with Him. Can we do that today?

Just enjoy Him today.

Remember if it were not for the love of our Trinity.....we would be lost!

What amazing grace....and just in time.

Have a beautiful day and remember HE LOVES US!

He Looked Beyond My Fault
Lyrics by Dottie Rambo
(to the tune of "Londerry Aire")

Galatians 5:1
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

Amazing Grace, shall always be my song of praise.
For it was grace that brought me liberty,
I do not know, just why He came to love me so.
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary,
To view the cross, where Jesus died for me
How marvelous, His grace that caught my falling soul
He Looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I wonder even if we could find the most skilled poet or most prolific writer if they could even come up with the words to describe the goodness of God........ I think not.............. One of my favorite scriptures in the word of God says this:

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

We cannot even think it............ I find that very profound.......... Our minds do not even have the capability to think what He is preparing for us........ I am excited!!!!!! What a surprise........

I have watched TBN since its beginning days........ Dottie was on there many many times and her songs always carried with the spirit of God.......She was very anointed........ I just hated to hear that she lost her life in such a tragic way....... She has suffered much............

Aaah to truly understand grace. His grace-deeper,higher,wider, stronger than anything our eyes have seen. To stop trying to earn that which we cannot earn. I think the only time I grasp it just a bit-imperfectly-is the way I love my children. But I fail so miserably as a parent that it isn't a good example. But I know that I will always love them no matter what. Great message! Mmmm...ministered to me! Thank you!

I love your thoughts about grace. So very true! And I LOVE David Phelps! I'm a big fan and have been blessed to see him 3 times in person. He went to college here so he comes back for occasional concerts. God blessed him with such an incredible voice!

Sharon - that is so beautiful...You know - we have been given much by our Lord - His grace indeed is amazing!
You know what runs through my head a lot lately? Why do we than hold back grace with the people around us - why do we get bend out of shape (me) when people hurt us (me)...Not sure. I think I just need to let His grace show through me and don't get hung up with my own sinful nature...
Sorry - my mind is wondering once again...

Blessings to you and yours...

Thank you friend I needed this post. Lately I feel like all people do is point out my flaws to others as a joke. God sees past my flaws and would never joke about them either. I needed this so much.

This is an amazing song. I needed this also this morning....I feel like I've been to church. Dottie Rambo was and exceptional song writer and I always had admiration for this beautiful angel. She is Safe in the arms of God right now. I've been so busy lately to really stop and really think about how much impact she was and still is. Her songs will forever go on. Thank you my friend for reminding me....He did look beyond MY fault and saw my need....
