I am sorry that I have not been here in awhile.
Some of you have emailed me to see how things are going on our end.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and concern.

Tuesday they went in to check out Paw Paws heart for a blockage.
We found out that there was no total heart blockage but his heart and arteries were in very bad condition. The doctor said that there was nothing he could do--his heart had just had enough.
We planned on removing him from the respirator the next day and when we did he could not handle it. It was put back in place. Paw Paw did not wake back up and they really did not think he would.
We waited for another 24 hours and then were to try again.
The family made the decision
to not put him back if he could not handle it but to let him go peacefully in God's time .
The doctors thought that his heart would not be able to sustain him and he would go within a few hours. That was not the case.
We removed everything but a morphine drip and an oxygen mask on Thursday morning.
He did not regain consciousness.
It is now 1:00 in the morning Saturday and he is still holding on.
We have all said our goodbyes and now we are waiting.

He is ready to walk the gold streets--of that we are certain.
We look forward to his reunion with his first wife who is already there waiting for him.

I will ask you to pray for this one thing.
There are still many family members who do not know the Lord. Because God has waited to call him home we had an incredible chance to share with one of my nieces who is 31. She is right there on the brink. It was a very moving experience.
I was honored to do this with my pastor.
He and his wife have been by our sides during this experience.
Pray that the funeral will be a blaze of Glory for our Father. Pray that during the service hearts will be convicted by our Father and decisions will be made that will bring more brothers and sisters into our family.
We will be sending one brother home and we will be gaining a few more. \0/

And yes, please pray for the comfort of us all--my little man is going home and I will miss him so.
That is enough for now.

I love you guys.
And i look forward to catching up with you soon.
Thank you all for your prayers.
Thank you Mom for taking care of JuJu--I love you.

I kinda knew in my spirit that PawPaw was headed home.... When my grandfather died in 78 we had the entire family around him the last few minutes..... Grandmother had gone home to rest a while when he took a turn for the worse... She was about 30 minutes away... A few of us began to pray that God would extend his life just long enough for Grandmother to get back...Dr's said that she just did not have time........ We prayed.. we rebuked... we prayed the angels of life hover over him...... there were those there in the room that were not believers...... there was such a presence in that room that you could feel.... the unbelievers
were wide eyed...... Granddad woke up! Looked around and asked for Grandmother... We told him that she was on her way...... he smiled and said ok......... we waited..... She walked into his room and he half sat up and took her hand and spoke a few things that only she heard and he closed his eyes and went to the Father... We had two people born-again at his funeral......... God is so good to give such powerful signs that He is there...... it was such an experience........... I will pray that God grant you and your family a powerful display of His awesome power to bring people into the kingdom...... What a legacy that PawPaw will leave.... What a homecoming!!!!!!!!!!

I pray for you continued strength as you go through the next few hours and days………. May the God of mercy and compassion flood that hospital room with the Shekinah glory…………

Thank you, thank you for taking the time to update us. I have been praying for Paw Paw and your family. I cried as I read your post. I so remember watching and letting both my father-in-law and mother-in-law go. It is such an emotional time. Praise God Paw Paw knows Jesus. I will pray for a glorious funeral and for God's message to reach any hearts that need it!

Sharon,

Words cannot express how my heart goes out to you and your family. I am praying for all of you and that Paw Paw will pass home to glory in comfort and without suffering. Thank you so much for keeping us updated. I am saying a special prayer for your niece. Possibly this is God's timing for her to come to Him.

Blessings and much love,
Mary

Tears fill my eyes and memories of waiting for my mom and then my dad to go home, sweet, sorrowful, bitter, joyous, sad.... Lord I pray you cover this family with the peace and comfort that only you can give them right now. Welcome Paw Paw with open arms, and bring the other family members to receive your gift of Salvation. Lord wrap your arms around Sharon, hold her very tight. In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

I pray that the Holy Spirit rests on your family and your wider family, for openings of salvation, words that reach through and touch hearts. May you all be sustained throughout and aware of God's loving presence and strength.
