A friend of mine sent this to me today. Sorry it is kind of blurry--but I think the pictures speak for themselves.
I am once again reminded that we serve a loving God who listens to our prayers.
He also hears our "advice".

Dear God..........please don't ever let me have what I think is best.
Even if I cry out and whine-- always let it be.........."not my will but Yours be done".
And if I have shortened my cross-- would you please regrow it?

Sometimes it is so hard to say "Not my will but Yours be done." Becuase for some reason I worry that God's will won't be what I want it to be. But, He knows best- so I don't know why it scares me so much.

Thanks. I needed that today. I have had a lot of little crosses in my path lately. It reminds me too of that e-mail that went around about the guy who put his cross down in the cross room and Jesus told him he could pick up any one he wanted..in the end he picked up the smallest one in the room to discover it was the one he came in with!
