Memory Verse Monday

Karen over at Karen's Ramblings has started something that I think would be good for all of us to be involved in. She has started Memory Verse Monday. Actually it started last week but I missed it-so today I am in. Here is what she has to say about this day.

The aim of "Memory Verse Monday" is to:

1. Memorise a passage (or passages) of scripture.

2. Share why you have chosen the verse or verses that you have.

3. Encourage one another with God has been saying to you through this verse.

4. Share the ways in which you find remembering verses works for you.

First, my memory verse is Isaiah 54:17a-

So no weapon that is used against you will defeat you. You will show that those who speak against you are wrong.

I picked this verse because Satan has had me on his hit list. My dreams and sleep have been a major target. And we all know that if we are not getting some good sleep--we tend to be a sunk ship. So let him try to send into my mind what he will---it is not going to make me miserable and it won't work to discourage me.
So....he is going down!
And, I am going to wake at peace after having a sound sleep.
Did you know you can fight satan even in your dreams?
You can. When your heart is right with God---no weapon that is used against
you will defeat you.
That was straight from the WORD!

I plan on speaking this out loud -----loud and often!

Thanks Karen

This may sound ironic but thanks for the "reminder" about "Memory Verse Monday". Isn't that funny? A reminder to remember something concerning committing something to memory. The makings of a funny joke even. I hope you have a restful evening tonight.

And may I participate by way of memorizing your verse and praying it over you? I think that is what I'd like to do.

So no weapon that is used against Sharon will defeat her. You (God) will show that those who speak against Sharon are wrong. Amen.

BTW, Chris loved that Keith was sighting in his gun and said, "That's a 70 Winchester, I think. Cool." And he added that the casings were two different kinds, but I don't remember what :)

You all have to visit sometime --or move here :) so Chris will have a shooting buddy on the mountain!
Praying over you this week.
Your verse is going on a card and I will memorize it and pray...
much love in Christ,
Holly

What a wonderful verse. I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to do so.

I am also praying that Paw Paw's visit to the doctor goes well.

Blessings,
Mary

What a great idea! Although, I already memorize 2-4 verses for our weekly bible study at church...But never thought of posting "my thoughts" on the verses!
Stop over by my cyber-home, I have something for you!

I love that verse. It's so powerful and so very true. Declaring that out there, changing the spiritual atmosphere and putting full trust in God's power not being intimidated by evil stuff out there.

I pray the best for you and your's Sharon. The enemy is always busy, but you picked the perfect verse (I think I also had occasion to use it lately!) No weapon!!
When you flip to the back of the book WE WIN!! The enemy is just in denial!
Blessings!

AMEN GIRLFRIEND!!! And I am loving this idea!

Stand your ground sister! And for me lately, when I've been coming up against this, God has called me to start praising Him and thanking Him for things. Praise defeats!

I am with you, Sharon! There seems to be a recurring theme everywhere right now...people knowing they are under spirtual attack...hmmm...me thinks the worm must realize his time is short! Trouble is, he seems to forget he loses, we win! And we get to tap dance all over his head...in our kitchens, laundry rooms where ever we serve!

Sweet dreams, sister-girl!
Maria
