Thankful Thursday

Yes, that is my man in the above picture. And what is he doing? He is looking at a map. Why? Because on a recent trip with our four wheelers he was not really sure where we were.
Now we have to give him a little break because
there were no gas stations on top of the mountain.
Did I panic and have visions of being stranded on a mountain--lost
with no hope of finding indoor plumbing?
Nope.
I had asked for God to teach me something really neat while on this trip.
Matter of fact I asked Him to blow my mind.
I was amazed when Keith said, "I don't have a clue where we are"-- and I felt no anxiety.
I am thankful for God showing me how He had grown my trust for my husband.
The above picture is of the windmill farm on top of the mountain we rode around. We stopped on a ridge across from it. It was an incredible experience. The clouds had descended and it was almost as if we were in a world of our own. I stood there in silence and heard the wooomp, wooomp (sorry sound effect are not my strong spot)as the blades of the windmills turned in the cool evening air. It was spiritual--I don't know how else to describe what I felt. It was an incredible experience. I felt really close to God in that moment.

I am thankful that God is showing me that I can serve Him and I do not have to please man.
As long as He is pleased with my heart--it does not matter what others think of me. Now, along that line, I am also thankful that He is showing me that I can desire to please others without giving up me. Me, is good. I just need to let Him continue to tweak me until I am perfect.
Will others think so?
Not if Jesus is our example. :)

Paw Paw, turned 92 yesterday. He is now living with us and I am thankful that he was thankful when we came home from vacation. He was happy to see us and settle back into a normal routine. God is blending him with our family--that is a God thing.
Thank you God.

I am thankful for my little group of girls.
I am so happy that God is drawing me together with women who share the passion that is growing in my heart.
We may be beautiful and delicate to this world. But when God looks down from the heavenlies--HE SEES WARRIORS.
You and me.......warriors! As Deena would say, THAT ROCKS!
We follow The Lord of the Host of Heaveans Armies.
AFRAID?
Thank heavens..........NO!

Welcome back. I got your comment on my blog and thought I would respond. I am usually kept up to date on the happenings of IHOP, and I have not heard of any controversy going on. This ministryis not something new, it's been going on for 8 years and has become a national cry for God and holiness...what is wrong with that? Unfortunatly, as I have worked with highly publicized ministries before, the main problem ministries have is that they have people working there. Go figure! People are flawed, but I truly believe that God placed this ministry where it is and He is the only One that keeps it going. The training there is indeed awesome...the prayer and praise INCREDIBLE...and word based ONLY. One may see how some worship and probably logically question it, but people worship how people worship and who am I to say how it should be done...except however God leads you...that's how it should be done according to Kate. :)
uhh *soap box* hopping off now.
I went to the Onething tour a few weeks ago...they are getting ready to open a Front Range (where I live is called the front range area) IHOP. I am so excited just because of what this ministry stands for. Anyway, man...if that meeting didn't drive the place to its knees...wow...I did not want to leave.
Well, if you still want to get a taste, there's room at the inn...I'll be making my reservations for New Years this month.
Much love,
Kate

I am just glad that I have the army on my side - His army of Heavenly hosts. What came to mind reading your post was when Joshua was to begin the battle and the Lord's army was right behind him :)

I am glad you had a splendid vacation.

Thank you so much for sharing your thankfulness with us this week.

Be blessed today and always...

My first time to your blog... love it and love your post! Your photo of your hubby could be a picture of my man... ever the adventurer... and he even uses a map occasionally (but more often, the GPS). Have a great day!

I am constantly impressed with your faith. Had we been lost on a mountain, I might of been able to hold my tongue but I would probably still feel very anxious inside. Thank you for sharing your walk with us.

It's good that your man is looking at a map! Most men don't. :) Glad you were at peace. I love being a warrior bride. We are His beautiful daughters, yet dangerous to the kingdom of darkness!! Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.

A man with a man. Now THAT is a picture for the ages.

(Think he could teach my man how to do that? I would so appreciate it since we spend a lot of time driving in circles while he insists he knows where he is going.)
